Visual Design

Engaging images combined with a generous use of white space enahnce this website's simple but effective design. Plenty to look at here, and no annoying fluff.

Visitors will appreciate the brief but informative nature of the patient education materials found here for both patients and their caregivers. This website looks at many factors related to Parkinson's, not just diagnosis/treatment but also financial and legal matters, caregiving, and local support. The patient information is not reference to assure current thinking and, although there is a highly qualified advisory board, it's not clear what involvement they have with this content.

No authors are identified for patient information, but a Parkinson's Disease doctor did the most recent review. All other information in blogs, podcasts, etc. has credited authors/presenters qualified to cover that content. Despite this, the website is well-aligned with contemporary medical knowledge of Parkinson's disease. While the multimedia content and events calendar are are timely, there is no indication of when the patient information was last reviewed.
