Ease of Use

The materials on WFH are informative for patients and caretakers alike. All content here is highly readable and easy to locate.

Visual Design

Nothing special or especially offenseive about the site's design. It may not be appealing, but visitors shouldn't let that stop them from visiting.

The WFA website is one of the most detailed available on the topic of bleeding disorders. The pages are brief, but taken together, along with links to additional information, the site provides an all-inclusive primer to the essential aspects of hemophilia and related conditions, including preventing bleeding, genetics, carrier states, rare clotting factor deficiencies, and inherited platelet disorders. And the site's collection of 300+ additional resources give visitors the opportunity to dive deep into topics of their choice.

No topics have authors listed, but there is a clearly identified Education Advisory Committee. Unfortunately, the qualifications and specific credentials are not provided. Otherwise the health content on WFA can be trusted as reliable and highly credible.

  1. Clear topics are organized well and can be expanded for easy browsing
  2. Readable font and fast-loading pages
  3. Offers more than surface-level information, discussing treatment, patient barriers and challenges, severity, monitoring outcomes, and more
  4. Expert committees generate content including a dental committee, musculoskeletal committee, psychosocial committee, etc.

  1. Lack of identified topic authors and their qualifications limits the credibility of that information
  2. One topic was updated May 2018, all others were updated in between May 2016 and May 2012
